Jon Rubinstein, former CEO of Palm, now with HP, mentioned in an interview with Fortune that WebOS 2.0 is on track for later this year. Rubinstein also mentioned, that they were also developing new hardware aggressively.

HP confident about flexible display technology on their devices

HP’s Phil McKinney spoke at the Mobile Beat in San Franciso, about their Flexible display technology. Using rugged Mylar sheets, not unlike those found in solar panels, it can display video, while still being able to hold an image without power, much like an eInk display.
