HP confident about flexible display technology on their devices

HP’s Phil McKinney spoke at the Mobile Beat in San Franciso, about their Flexible display technology. Using rugged Mylar sheets, not unlike those found in solar panels, it can display video, while still being able to hold an image without power, much like an eInk display.

oStylus capacitive pen lets you see what you draw

Capacitive screens are great to use, but try drawing over it, and you will see that fingers block the screen. Even foam tipped styluses cover too much, at least that is what Andrew Goss claims. Amazon granted Dual-screen e-Reader Patent

This is really surprising. We have already seen several eReaders with dual screen in the market, most notably Alex, from Spring design, and the Nook from Barnes & Noble. However, the USPTO has granted a 2006 Amazon patent on eReaders with secondary LCD displays. The terms are broad enough to cover the Nook, Alex, and several other dual screen eReaders.
