If you have been a regular at Tablets Unleashed, you will be aware that the Tegatech from Australia had already released the Tega, an Intel Atom N270 and a 10.2″ 1024 x 600 based Windows 7 Tablet PC.
Tegatech now already has an upgraded version of the Tablet, aptly called Tage v2. With specs that include an Intel Atom N455 1.66 GHz processor, 1 GB DDR3 RAM (with support for upto 4 GB), Intel GMA 3150 for graphics, a choice of 16 GB, 32GB, or 64 GB of SSD for storage, and an SD/MMC card slot for an additional 32 GB, the Tega v2 is in all aspects a real good upgrade over the Tega.
The rest of the specs include an in-built accelerometer, 1.3 MP camera, USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth along with 3G, Wimax, and Wibro as optional extras. All of these come in a sleek 243 x 190 x 14 mm package, weighing 870 grams. Battery life has also been improved from 2 hours to a more decent 4 hours now.
Lastly, Tegatech says the Tablet will be “aggressively priced”, but we will have to wait till the planned September release to know what Tagatech means by “aggressive”.
