Viewsonic, more popularly known for their computer peripherals, have decided to enter the Android tablet PC market with a bang. The plan seems to be to make a 7″ Slate tablet runnng the Android 2.2 FroYo, the latest available version of Google’s open source OS.
It is also claimed that this tablet device would come with GSM calling capabilities which would make it a Tablet Phone much like the Dell Streak, Huawei S7 and possibly the Notion Ink Adam. It should also have a 3 or 5 MP camera, 3G connectivity, bluetooth, and possibly be powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and the Nvidia Tegra T20 chipset.
The Viewsonic tablet should hit retail stores in the UK shorlty at a price around $500 or even $600.
