It seems to be raining Tablet PC announcements in India these days. We still haven’t seen the release of any of these tablets yet though. However, that has not stopped Spice telecom from announcing a trio of Android devices, including a 7″ Tablet PC, that seems to be the same as the OlivePad announced earlier.
The OlivePad and the tablet announced by Spice seem to be re-branded versions of the same OEM device. They look the same, and the hardware specifications of both devices are similar too.
The Spice Mi-700, as their tablet is going to be called, is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, features a 7″ WVGA capacitive touch screen, Wifi, bluetooth, 3G, memory card slot, USB interfaces, dual camera, and runs the Android 2.1 Eclair OS, though if you believe the press release notes, it could get an upgrade to Android 2.2 FroYo before its launch.
The other devices are a 4.1″ Smartphone, and a 3.2″ Smartphone / MID, both of them running the Android OS.
