Samsung Tablet specs outed, comes with a 7″ 1024 x 600 Super AMOLED screen

That Samsung is going to launch a 7″ Android based tablet is old news. It is also well known that the launch is impending, and we have heard about the rumoured specifications of the tablet device as well.

Flipkart, a popular india based online retailer, has already listed the Samsung Galaxy Tablet on its website, and though it is shown as “Out of stock” and the price is not dislayed yet, it has outed the specs of the device.

The tablet device is called the Samsung Galaxy Tape, and the specs are all inline with the expectations, except for a nice surprise – the 7″ Super AMOLED capacitive multi-touch screen was expected to have a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, however it is listed here as having a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. This would be a much better resoution on the 7″ screen and provide a 60% larger viewable area.

The other specifications – Android 2.2 FroYo running on  a 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor is also listed confirming earlier expectations.

Another interesting thing to not would be that it is listed as featuring the 2G GSM, and 3G HSDPA frequencies. Is this going to be another tablet phone?

No details about the price and availability date yet, but that will follow soon. Stay glued to Tablets Unleashed – your favorite source for Tablet PC information.
