The MasterPad is from Pegatron and still in the prototype stage. It runs on an Intel Atom 1.66 GHz N450 processor, and features a 11.6″ 1366 x 768 IPS screen, 1.3 MP camera, two USB ports, memory card reader, 32 or 64 GB SSD, accelerometer, mini-HDMI port, 3G connectivity, all wrapped in a 14 mm thin aluminium and magnesium alloy body weighing 990 gms. It comes with a less than expected 2 cell battery that gives just 5 hours of chord free usage.
Flash support and 1080P video playback capabilities are claimed. This tablet PC running on the Windows 7 OS should be launched in the local Israel market within the next few months, hopefully followed by an international launch. Pegatron is also apparently readying another tablet PC running on the Android OS.
Finally Steve Ballmer seems to have a Windows 7 slate tablet that should hit store shelves soon. Weather it turns out to be the iPad competitor remains to be seen though. More details on Ynet.co.il.

Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I’d like to write like this also – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get anything done… Regards
