Is the Google Tablet going to be called Speedbook?

Bnet has reported that the Internet giant Google has filed an application seeking a trademark on the term “Speedbook” in the category of Computer hardware. This application was filed last week, with the priority date of February 19, 2010, but it is still not known what the name Speedbook will be used for.

Tablets Unleashed had already reported last week that Google was planning to develop Chrome OS based Tablet PCs and Netbooks. It also appears that Google has partnered with Verizon to provide exclusive data services bundled with this mystery Speedbook device.
