Folks at Engadget have found from some docs on the FCC website, that talk about the HP eStation Zeen. They guess it is a Slate tablet of some sort based on the picture. There is nothing else about this device that can confirmed, but a lot of details have emerged from the discussion over at Engadget.
So what is the HP eStation Zeen? From all the speculation, is seems to be a HP slate tablet focussed on e-reading, running the Android OS, with a unique ability to connect directly to a HP printer and function as its interface without the need for another PC.
It is expected to have capacitive touch screen running a HP UI skin on top of the Android 2.1 OS. it could be upgraded to FroYo, but that is not confirmed (well, the rest of it is speculation too, so nothing is really confirmed). Also included will be capacitive touch buttons, SD card slot, a special kind of a webcam, support for video, and of course integration with the Barnes & Noble Nook bookstore (remember it is focussed on the e-reading experience), not to foget the ability to print directly from the tablet device.
They even have a price – The Zeen is expected to come in 2 different configurations – a $399 bundled price along with a HP printer called Zeus, and a stand alone version for a price unknown.
