August 11th, 2010So Dell has finally answered the big question, The Dell Streak tablet phone is going to be on sale in the US starting friday the 13th of Aug.
After initially promising that the tablet phone device would be rolled out by the end of July, and then going silent when July was up and the phone was still not out, they have finally come back and announced, via a press release, that their Streak tablet phone is now available for sale starting Aug 13th. It will be on sale for $299.99 with a two year contrat with AT&T, and for $549.99 unlocked.
Dell will be keeping up part of their earlier promise, and opening up orders for the pre-sale registrants on 12th Aug, a full 24 hours before general public availability. There will also be a coupon that can be used to add-on a plantronics bluetooth headset for just 99 cents extra.
Dell may have answered this one question, but i already a few more important questions – What about the rest of the world?, When will the Cherry Red Dell Streak make it to the US?, and the all important date for the FroYo upgrade !
