Blackberry Storm 3 with Blackberry 6 OS, details emerge

The hot news of the tablet news and information circles last week was about the imminent launch of the Blackberry 6 OS. It been a week since, and enough time to let it all sink in, and Engadget have now dug up some dirt on the Blackberry Storm 3, the 3rd edition of RIM’s not so successful full touch screen phone.

The Storm 3 seems to have got a decent hardware upgrade (512 MB RAM, wifi 802.11 n, 5 MP camera), along with the (supposedly significant) OS upgrade to Blackberry 6, the new Webkit browser, and the upcoming 3G mobile hotspot functionality. Engadget have got hold of a slide that also mentions a year end release. More details at Engadget.

Well, can’t say i was waiting with bated breadth for the Storm 3. However, i was kind of hoping the rumored Blackberry tablet PC would be the first RIM device to sport the Blackberry 6 OS. I will even settle for a simultaneous launch of both the Storm 3, and the Blackberry tablet, which is also rumored to be available towards the end of the year.
