Pixel Qi have been claiming for a while that they are production ready with their displays, and its the end device manufacturers that would need to finalize the timelines for the product launch. They too must have been tired of waiting, and so have put their 10.1 ” display out for sale. This display can replace your netbook screens, and for the DIY types amongst you, it should only take a screw driver and around 5 mins to swap your netbook display with the Pixel Qi.
Its only certified to work with the Samsung N130, and Lenovo S10-2, but the more enterprising folks, i am sure will figure out a way to take it to other netbooks too. Its on sale now at Marketshed, but at $275, it costs as much as an entire netbook.
Heres to more mobilty for the netbook user.
